Cipher Ridge grew out of the lessons I learned over 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, where my work regularly brought together technology, cybersecurity, communications, people, and operations. One thing became clear along the way: good tools are incredibly valuable, but they rarely tell the whole story. Experience provides context, and human instinct often catches small details, unusual patterns, or a sense that something is not quite right before technology can explain why.

My career included leading technical and cybersecurity efforts in complex environments and serving as a Communications, Operations, and Cybersecurity Chief and an Information Systems Security Manager. Since then, I have continued to build on that experience through an M.S. in Digital Forensics and Cyber Investigations, a B.S. in Psychology, and professional certifications, including CISSP and CEH.

Cipher Ridge is where those different parts of my background come together. The work ranges from cybersecurity and digital forensics to threat intelligence, secure communications, tradecraft, AI security, and practical training. I try not to force every problem into the same box. Sometimes the answer is technical. Sometimes it comes from research, experience, or simply knowing which questions to ask. Most often, it is a combination of all of them.

More than anything, I built Cipher Ridge because I like helping people solve difficult problems and feel better prepared for what comes next. Technology is moving quickly, and the people trying to exploit it are moving quickly too. If I can help someone recognize a threat earlier, protect something important, understand what happened, or make a more confident decision, then Cipher Ridge is serving its purpose and making things a little more difficult for those who would take advantage of others.
